When creating the identity for our company, we were inspired by themes of love, commitment, and longevity. The barn owl, an animal known for mating for life, became a symbol of fidelity and enduring relationships—qualities we strive to capture in every film. Equally important was the oak tree, a symbol of family and stability, rooted in the memories of our founder’s childhood home. These two powerful symbols came together to form 'Owl & Oak Films,' a name that reflects the lasting connections we aim to immortalize.
With a decade of experience as a wedding videographer, Josh has developed a deep passion for capturing the most precious moments in people’s lives. His career began with filming weddings for family and friends, eventually growing into a business dedicated to documenting the love stories of numerous couples throughout Michigan and beyond.
Josh also established Spicy Melon Studios, where he and his team produce cutting-edge music videos, immersive event coverage, and compelling social media content that showcases their creative flair.
When he's not working, Josh enjoys traveling, attending music festivals, and cheering on the Detroit Lions as a dedicated season ticket holder.
